
1. Project52
Objective: (i) A humanitarian effort to empower individuals or SME’s in order to help them reach their goals; (ii) Animal welfare or environmental causes that are close to our hearts and where we feel we can add value.
Conceived: 2019 (Beta)
Implementation: 2020
Results to Date: 2019 (Beta: Fully achieved); 2020 (Fully achieved);
Contribution: Time/ Skill/ Resources (Non-Monetary) – We will not respond to monetary donation requests under this mandate.
Prerequisite: *Only new candidates may apply – Successful candidates of Project52 are to provide any information requested, for us to assist you, as per the time line(s) communicated. If you miss the deadline, we may need to move onto our next candidate.
Time Contribution: Normally +-1-3 hours per party (per week), more hours may be available at our discretion.
Motive: We hope to encourage those we have assisted with our Project52 contribution and for them undertake their own Project52 to share their time, skills & resources to help and inspire others in their communities.
In Return: Simply to provide written feedback of your experience, which can be used for future reference.

2. Tree365
Goal: Our aim is to successfully grow & plant (or distribute) 365 trees (or plants) in 365 days.
Objective: A humanitarian & environmental effort – (i) To try combat pollution & help improve our environments (Natural & Urban); (ii) Increase green spaces (natural regeneration/ reforestation) for the welfare of humans, fauna & flora; (iii) Depending on the trees (or vegetation) grown, help communities increase their available food sources.
Conceived: August 2019 (Beta) – Test projects underway. Target of 52x trees by year end.
Implementation: 2020
Results to Date: 2019 (Beta: Partly achieved); 2020 (Partly achieved);
Prerequisite: *Only indigenous trees or plant species to be grown for the micro-region concerned. The only exception is to grow other local species (macro-region) that may help significantly benefit the environment, such as improving our air quality – For example: Spekboom (Portulacaria afra); Or trees and plant species that can help feed communities.
Food Projects: We strive to assist with the implementation of food sources that will assist communities to rely less on commercial agriculture and focus more on subsistence farming, with the aim of greater sustainability in the medium to long-term. The goal is to: (i) Help improve food security; (ii) Protect natural resources; (iii) Provide healthier alternatives and a balanced lifestyle… Along with many other benefits.
Motive: We hope to create greater awareness, be more considerate of our environment and to implement positive lifestyle changes; Including the following: (i) Our awareness & actions towards our personal consumer behavior; (ii) Our influence on natural resources; (iii) To encourage self-sustainability, wherever possible; (iv) To proactively help improve our environments for all species; (v) To encourage greater leadership & helping others where we can – *We hope this inspires other people to start their own Tree365 initiative.
Recommendation: Regarding projects where trees or vegetation are intended to be planted in public domains or environmentally sensitive areas – We advise working closely with the relevant authorities to get the required buy-in and to ensure the sustainability of the project and trees (or plants) concerned.
